Hesperantha (Schizostylis) coccinea Major
Supplied in a 1 litre pot
A favourite of ours on the nursery. This narrow sword shaped leaf South African perennial , produces masses of deep red flowers in late summer and through Autumn. Spreads slowly from an underground rhizome to form a large clump. Re-named- Hesperantha coccinea ‘Major’- but still refered to by it's original name on our nursery.
Grow in full sun, in well drained but moisture retentive soil. Should be more popular in the uk!
