A striking evergreen succulent with an erect growth habit and very dark purple, almost black, fleshy leaves which are formed in terminal rosettes that turn lighter green in winter.
Prefers full sun and free-draining soil or compost. Ideal for shallow terracotta pots on the balcony or the patio and is drought tolerant, so no watering worries when you go on holiday.
Needs frost free conditions with good light over winter.
