Agave gentryi

This large to medium sized Agave is found at altitudes over 2000 meters in northeastern Mexico. The species is quite variable and it’s populations border those of A. Montana and A.asperrima. These plants come from a seed collection made on Cerro El Potosi in Nuevo Leon, where the Agave gentryi are renowned for their size, beauty and hardiness.
Mature plants have broad leaves that are armed with dark, large marginal teeth and a large terminal spine. Hardy in the UK, particularly if given protection from winter wet.
