Agave parryi var. couesii
Supplied in a 1 litre pot

Agave parryi var. couesii is one of the smaller of the genus and is definitely one of the  hardiest of all Agaves. This plant suckers freely to form large clumps of flat-topped rosettes. It distinguished from the standard Agave parry by smaller, narrower, more gradually pointed leaves and with smaller flowers. The leaves are a grey glaucous green and are armed with ferocious terminal spikes. Grow in full sun in very well drained soil or in a pot. Protect from winter wet if possible.
Grows to around 50cm tall and 60cm in diameter, but growth is not quick. Plants supplied are seed grown on our nursery.

Full Sun
Well drained soil
RHS hardiness rating H4

Plants are supplied in a 1 litre pot, with their compost and are similar to the plants seen in pictures 2 and 3. Picture one shows a planted specimen and is not the plant for sale.
