Fuchsia triphylla 'Thalia'
Supplied in a variety of pot sizes

This is a absolute stunner of a shrub. Deep green velvety foliage with a ting of red in the midrib and reddish undersides. Flowers are long tubular, bright orangish red and borne in dangling clusters from June to September. Prefers a shaded spot with high levels of humidity. Water when the compost dries out and prune back faded flower stems or straggly   stems.
Best grown in large terracotta pots and given winter protection in a frost free greenhouse or conservatory, where it will loose all but the leaves at the ends of it’s branches.

Eventual height is around 90cm with a spread of 50cm, but can be reduced in early summer.

Part shade/dappled shade
Well drained soil
RHS hardiness rating H2

Plants are supplied in a 9cm or 1.5 litre pots, with their compost and are similar to the plants seen in pictures 3 and 4. Picture 1 and 2 shows the flowers/ leaves on a planted specimen and is not the plant for sale.
