H. Quercifolia is a medium sized, deciduous shrub. It’s oak like leaves start off olive green, with powdery white undersides and turn a bright burgundy in autumn. The large cones of white flowers appear in late summer. Coming from southeastern United States, this hardy species Hydrangea loves a shady position in moist well drained, slightly acidic soil.
