Agave toumeyana var. bella
Supplied in a 7cm pot
Common names include: Fairy-ring Agave, Toumey Agave, Toumey's Century Plant.
This relatively small Agave is considered one of the most attractive in the genus. Growing to no more than 20cm in diameter and 25cm tall. It comes from rocky hillsides in Arizona and has proved to be very hardy here at Blue Nurseries, (hardy to -12°C) particularly if kept dry when very cold. The dark green leaves are long and narrow with striking white markings to the top sides. The edges of the leaves on mature plants have numerous white threads at the leaf margins. Flowers are typical of the Genus and are held on a 1.5m tall flower stem. This is a very desirable collectors Agave and is rarely offered for sale. Our plants are produced by divisions and are only become available every few years.
