Albizia Julibrissin
Common name : ‘The silk Tree’

Albizia Julibrissin is a small to medium sized deciduous tree. Prized for both it’s fern like delicate foliage and it’s fluffy rose-pink, silk like, flower-heads, Albizia is a great exotic for almost any garden. With a massive native range from the Caucasus through to Japan, Albizia Juilibrissins is well adapted to colder climates and has a RHS hardiness rating of H4, making this stunning tree hardy in all but the coldest areas of the UK.
Grow in a large pot to begin with, moving it under glass in winter or similar shelter, until the woody stem has properly developed, When ready, usually after three years, plant in a sunny sheltered spot in well drained soil.

Plants are supplied in a 0.8 litre tree pot, with their compost and are similar to the plants seen in pictures 3.4 and 5. They are year 2 seedlings. Picture one and two shows the flowers on a planted specimen and is not the plant for sale.
