Agapanthus orientalis ‘Queen Mum’
Supplied in a 9cm pot
A stunning new cultivar, producing masses of large, bi- coloured, white and blue flowers, above dark green strappy foliage. Needs full sun, with a free-draining, but moist soil.
An attractive perennial for a sunny site. Best planted out in a raised bed or well drained border situation. A hardy plant which should survive normal winter conditions outside, especially if protected from the hardest frosts.
Pot culture is possible if plants are potted up slowly and kept in a frost free, unheated greenhouse or similar conditions.
Mature height and spread: 120 x 60 cm
Well drained soil
RHS hardiness rating H4
Plants are supplied in a 9cm pot, with their compost and are similar to the plants seen in pictures 3 and 4. Pictures 1 and 2 shows the flowers on a specimen and is not the plant for sale. These plants should be grown on for at least 4 months before planting out or into bigger pots.
