Galvezia speciosa

This is an unusual evergreen perennial small shrub to 80cm with snapdragon like vivid red flowers. It comes from the Channel Islands off California where it is known as ‘The Island Snapdragon’. Good in large pots or planted out in milder areas where it is a great addition to a Mediterranean or tropical style garden. Plant in a sheltered spot with full sun/part shade in well drained slightly acidic soil. Will bounce back if damaged by frost.
