Canna musifolia ‘Grande’
Supplied as a bare root tuber in 3 sizes from April to May

This is possibly the biggest of all Canna, introduced to Europe from Peru in 1858. This massive perennial has become popular once again and rightly so.
A fast grower, reaching 3 meters easily in one season. The dark green, bronze edged foliage is banana like, hence the name. In warm summers this tropical monster will produce small orange/red flowers, however it is the jungle like foliage that C.musifolia is mainly grown for.
Reportedly quite hardy, but we lift ours here at Blue Nurseries and then replant the following May.

Full Sun
Well drained soil
RHS hardiness rating H4
