A fantastic near hardy evergreen shrub, with large clusters of tropical looking small flowers, which are rose-purple followed by dark purple fruits. Prefers full sun, or partial shade with free-draining soil or compost. Can grow to 2 meters with a spread of 1.5 meters. Definitely a must for any exotic, jungle garden. Great in large patio planters. Can be planted out in gardens with a mild microclimate. Can be overwintered easily in a cool greenhouse, conservatory or porch.
