Passiflora manicata
‘The Red Passion Flower’

Lots to like about this relatively new passion flower, new to European cultivation that is. Bright red flowers, green fruits and an ability to take a couple of degrees of frost. However we haven't tested it’s frost hardiness and recommend protecting in a frost free greenhouse. Prefers some sun in a sheltered position and will grow to 10ft or more.
Comes from central American rainforest and at an altitudes over 1500 meters. Note: that maybe poisonous when unripe.
