Trichocereus terscheckii
Echinopsis terscheckii.
Supplied in a 11cm pot
Sometimes known as Echinopsis terscheckii, this is a large columnar cactus from high altitude in Argentina and Bolivia. With age it can reach a massive 10 meters, however in the Europe it is unlikely to get to this height, but then who knows!
T. terscheckii is considered to be one of the hardiest cactus that can be grown in the UK. With proper drainage and minimal protection this stunning cactus can survive -10℃ and even lower once established.
Picture one shows T.terscheckii growing in my old London garden, were it still survives and thrives 20 years after it was first planted.
Full Sun
Well drained soil
RHS hardiness rating H4
Plants are supplied in a 11cm pot, with their compost and are similar to the plants seen in pictures 2,3 and 4. Please note that these are 'Hard' grown cactus and they do have the odd marking or winter 'scars'. Picture 1 shows a planted specimen as mentioned above and is not the plant for sale.
